JAKARTA, Sept. 30 -- Indonesian fighter Daud "Cino" Yordan, holder of the WBO lightweight title, was scheduled to fight in November in his home country, local media reported.
Daud aims to secure points in the upcoming fight scheduled to be held on November 17 in Batu of Malang district in Indonesia's East Java province, said Gustiantira Alandy, CEO of the Mahkota Promotion, the promoter of the bout.
However, Gustiantira said that the promoter had yet to find an opponent.
"It is certain that Daud's fight will be held in Batu, Malang. His opponent will be announced later," he said.
Previously, Daud was scheduled to fight against an opponent from South Africa, Malcolm Klassen, but the fight was aborted due to Klassens failure to secure a permit from the South African fighting supervisory body.
Daud's last fight was on August 4 in Thailand when he defeated Thai opponent Aekkawee Kaewmanee with a knockout blow.
Daud, 32 years old, has a record of 39 wins (27 of which were KOs) and 4 losses.
